1949
BARCODE. The original 1949 patent for a barcode was something very close to a target, in which data was encoded by combining various concentric circles.
1955
HOVERCRAFT. The invention of the hovercraft dates back to 1955 and concerns a vehicle that moves on a cushion of air.
1967
MOUSE. Engelbart was the inventor of the first computer mouse, which was patented in 1967. The mouse was a block of wood covering two metal wheels.
1974
RUBIK'S CUBE. The Rubik's Cube or Magic Cube is a famous 3D twisty puzzle invented by Ernő Rubik in 1974. It is considered by many to be the best-selling toy in the world. On a classic Rubik's Cube, each of the six faces is covered with nine stickers, each of which has a particular color: white, yellow, red, green, blue, and orange.

USB. A USB, in electronics, is an industrial standardized serial communication interface developed in 1996. It was meant to create a standard in a single communication protocol for cables and connectors to be used for connection, communication and power supply between computers and electronic peripherals.

CYBERHAND. This is a cybernetic hand that communicates with the patient's nervous system, accurately perceiving the characteristics of the item being touched. It was invented by the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna (St. Anna School of Advanced Studies) of Pisa.
